Refers to the actions, the basic storyline of the play
Plot
Six stages in a plot structure
Initial Incident, Preliminary Event, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action, Denouement
Refers to the message that is intended to be expressed
Theme
the people (sometimes animals or ideas); typically, each character, both major and minor, is listed alongside a brief description of the character’s role in the story.
Characters and Actors
refers to the words written by the playwright and spoken by the characters to play.
Dialogue
It is when one character delivers a speech to convey his or her thoughts, although other characters may remain on stage in scene
Monologue
a speech where it reveal the character’s innermost thoughts and motivations.
Soliloquy

Vocal Dynamics, Body Language and Mannerism, Use and Awareness of Space, Improvisational Techniques
Actors need to expand their vocal toolbox and learn about the ways to range, pitch and pronunciation that affects the performer

Actors bring their characters to life by moving, recreating and even standing that are natural for their character.
Body Language and Mannerism
Actors needed to be aware not just of your “marks” on stage but also the actors who must interact w/ or more past you.

Figures of Speech, Dramatic Irony, Foreshadowing
Goes beyond its literal meaning
Figures of Speech
involves the reader(audience) knowing something what’s happening in the plot, about which the character(s) have know knowledge.
Dramatic Irony
refers to the use of indicative words/phrases and hints that set the stage for a story to unfold and give the reader a hint of something is going on to happen w/out revealing the story/spoiling suspense.
Foreshadowing

Happens on a chronological structure

This consist of a series of loosely related incidents, usually of chapter length.
Episodic
Consist two/more dramatic plots that are usually linked by a common characters.
