All lights turned off for effect. (Can symbolise beginning/end of a piece)

Lights appear/disappear gradually as another appears/disappears
Spotlight
Single light on a specific part of the stage
Floodlight
Many lights to “flood” the stage. All can be seen

Colour added into light for effect
