Define watershed
The watershed is the dividing line between one river basin and the next, it usually a ridge of highland
What is a mouth ?
The mouth of the river is where the water flows into a lake or the sea.
What does deposition ?
Deposition means they have put rocks and drop materials.
Define drainage ?
Drainage is where the rain falls in to a area inside the red dashed line feeds the river this is area called the river basin.
What is tributary?
Tributary is where the smaller river is join to the main river .
Define confluence?
Confluence is the point of the river join it is called a confluence
What is the channel?
The channel is where a river flows
What is a source ?
The source is where the river starts,it could be a spring a lake or a melting glacier or a hollow where a lot of rain is collect.
What is precipitation ?
It is we’re rain,snow ,sleet or hail falls or condenses on the ground .
Define condensation
We’re water which is collect as droplets on a cold surface when humid air is in contact with it .
