Q

How water moves through the drainage basin

A

1-water that runs overland is called surface runoff
2-some rain soaks into the ground. This is called infiltration
3-rain that soaks into the ground flows sideways through the soil. This is called throughflow
4-the water fills the pores and cracks in the rock. This is called groundwater
5-surface runoff, through flow and groundwater feed the river
6-impermeable rock won’t let water pass through it.
