DRAFTING TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT Flashcards
It is a special table with a slanted surface that can be adjusted based on the desired angle. It is higher than an ordinary writing table because some drawings, like mechanical drawing, are usually done while the draftsman is standing. Preferably at least 24” x 36” or 30” x 40”

Technical Pens
Usually, drafting papers are 20” x 30” for contract documents purposes. For this AVC 1, you may use A3 papers. The type of paper varies but I would suggest you have these: Tracing paper, White drafting paper, Grid paper
Drafting Papers
Used to remove unwanted lines and marks in drawing.
Used in partner with erasing shield if the portions are too
small and you would like to avoid erasing others.
Eraser
It secures the drawing paper on the table. I would suggest
you buy a good quality one to ensure your drawing papers stays in place and sticks on the table.
Masking Tape
Used to remove dirt from the paper. It is advised you do not use your bare hands in removing dirt from the paper and table as it may smudge the graphite from pencil marks or make your paper messy.
Drafting Brush
Used to safely keep your drafting papers
Drafting Tube/Canister
Used to easily make a pattern of furniture or fixtures on plan
Templates

Scissors/Cutter
