  • the murder was wittnessed by a maid
  • she recounts this to the police
  • he hasn’t taken any of the valuables (lack of motive)
  • recognises the murder weapon as one of Dr jekyll’s walking canes
  • hyde missing to 2 months
  • silvery haird woman who wants hyde in for something
  • she lets them inside (find the rest of the cane and a burnt checkbook)

    -the only thing anyone knows about his appearence is that he is unatural.

  • poole takes him to the dissecting rooms
  • jekyll looks very ill
  • utterson thinks jkyll might have hidden Hyde
  • jekyll hands him a letter supposedly from Hyde
  • it says that he is safe
  • jekyll says he will distance from hyde
  • poole reveals there was no post this morning
  • Mr guest analyses hand writing and concludes that the hand is similar to jekylls (forged note to cover up murder.)
