- INCREASING ENERGY INTAKE - meals eaten away from home, larger serving sizes, meals readily available
- INCREASINGLY SEDENTARY LIFESTYLES - very little physical activity, increased amount of screen time
- DECREASED WALKING, CYCLING AND TRANSPORT RELATED PHYSICAL ACTIVITY - being driven, perceptions that roads and neighbourhoods are unsafe
- CHANGES IN FAMILY STRUCTURES AND DYNAMICS - family work patterns, less play time with children
