0.2 mg IV initial
0.1 mg IV subsequently @ 60 sec intervals
max= 3 mg/hr
Coma differential: 5 mg IV
Infusion: 0.1-0.4 mg/hr [0.5-1 mcg/kg/min]
Thiopental
Induction: 3-5 mg/kg IV (decrease with age and 1st trimester)
Methohexital

duration of single dose is only 5-8 minutes
