designed to pass unchanged through the stomach to the small intestines, where it disintegrates dissolve and absorbs. It shouldn’t be chewed, cut, crushed.
Enteric-coated Tablet (ECT)
made by more than one compression cycle. They are usually prepared to separate physically or chemically incompatible ingredients or to produce repeat or prolong action of drug.
Multiple Compressed Tablet (MCT)
is designed to release the drug’s active ingredient gradually over the day.
Controlled-release Tablet (CRT)
