The lock automatically engages when electric power is available and disengages when electric power is lost or removed
How does the Emergency access function work on the cockpit door lock?
When the correct code is entered:
- The amber light illuminates on the key pad
- The AUTO UNLK light flashes on the flight deck door control panel
- A door chime sounds in the flight deck
What happens to the cockpit door when no action has been taken in approximately 30 seconds after the correct code has been entered?
- The chime stops
- The AUTO UNLK light extinguishes
- The green light illuminates on the keypad
- The door unlocks for 5 seconds
How long does the cockpit door remain locked after DENY has been selected?
15 Minutes unless the door is opened from the flight deck or UNLK is selected
