Malnutrition continues to be the public health concerns in the country. The common nutritional deficiencies are:
- Vitamin A
- Iron
- Iodine
Oral Health Program:
Dental Caries (tooth decay) and Periodontal Diseases
(gum diseases) are the two most common oral health diseases affecting the Filipinos.
87.4 % Filipinos are suffering from dental caries while 48.3 % have gum
disease (based on the 2011 National Monitoring and Evaluation Dental Survey).
According to World Health Organization (WHO), Mental
Health is a “state of well being in which an individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the
normal stressors of life and can work productively and able to make a contribution to his or her community.
