Thr-160: activates when phosphorylated. Phosphorylation results in a conformational change that removed an auto-inhibitory “T” loop from the active site
Tyr-15: Activates when dephosphorylated. Dephosphorylation removes a negative charge that blocks the entry of ATP into active site.
