DMV Pretrip Script (Rear Tires)

Rear Suspension

The rear suspension is located behind the tires. The include: Air bags, Shocks, U-bolts, Air Mounts, & Torque Arms.

Air Bags/Shocks/U-Bolts

Answer 2

I am inspecting the air bags, shock absorbers and bolts on the suspension.

Question 3

Air Mounts & Torque Arms

Answer 3

There are no missing or damaged bushings. The torque arms are mounted securley and not damaged. There are also air bag mounts that I would inspect.

Question 4

Rear Brakes

Answer 4

The rear brakes are also located behind the rear tires. They are identical to the front brakes whihc include the: Brake Hoses/Lines, Brake Chamber, Slack Adjustor & Pushrod, & Brake Drum, and I am inspecting them.

Question 5

Drive Shaft

Answer 5

The drive shaft should not be bent, twisted or cracked. The U-joints appear to be free of foreign objects and secure.

Question 6

Frame

Answer 6

There should be no cracks or bends on the longitudinal frame members. There should be no loose, cracked, bent, broken, or missing cross member.
