What is Vertigo?
A
The sensation of the room spinning around.
Suggests problem is in the vestibulo-labyrinthine system, anywhere between the ear (peripheral vertigo) and the central vestibular pathways (central vertigo).

What is the most common cause of vertigo?
A
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)

How is BPPV managed?
A
Diagnosed using the Dix-Hallpike manoeuvre, and in the majority of cases is treatable using the Epley manoeuvre.
