Q

How do you calculate how long it will take you to fly from your SHP to your diversion destination? (Based on an airspeed of approx 90kts)

A

Distance divided by 3, x 2

Example, if it is 10 NM to you dest:

10/3 = 3
3x2 = **6 min **

Example, if it is 35 NM

35/3 = 11.6 (we’ll round up to 12)
12x2 = 24 min
