Q

What is a light gate?

A

It measures how long a light beam is broken for

e.g. a 10cm card which takes 0.1s to pass –> speed = 10cm/0.1s = 100cm/s

Q

On a velocity-time graph, what are the rise, run and gradient of the graph equivalent to?

A
Rise = velocity
Run = time
Gradient = acceleration

(gradient = rise/run = velocity/time = acceleration)
