depersomnalise - experiences of unrelity and detachement from ones mind/self/body -feel outside of then
Derealsation-detacheemnt from sourrounding -feel like world isnt real
dissociative identity disorder -trauma
existence of two or more distinct indentities (change in behaviours, memory and thinking change)
Ongoing gaps in memory about everyday events
Sx cause stress and issues for person
exlcude oranic causes like drugs or alcohol
Mx of dissociative disorders
psychotherapy - refer CBT mainly
most of it goes away over time
Hypnosis also important
no medication -treat comorbid MH disorders (depression anxity, psychosis)
