What is a critique?
A
A series of arguments which, when combined, allow you to evaluate the theoretical and practical merits or limitations of a proposed piece of research.

What four things must I consider when critiquing?
A
- Project proposal; clear and concise?
- Engagement with literature; are there enough references?
- Methodology; is it feasible/appropriate?
- Overall, how realistic is it?

What general elements can I evaluate?
A
Core geographical concepts: SPACE, SCALE, TIME, PLACE

How can I determine the degree of logic present?
A
Consider the way in which knowledge is being gained; the reasoning employed i.e. INDUCTIVE (observation-based, general to specific) or DEDUCTIVE (sensible hypotheses)
