A

From the Civil Procedure Rules and can be issued at anytime after proceedings are issued.

Genuine offer to settle the dispute and if accepted, the other side pays costs up to that point.

What is the difference between a Part 36 Offer and a Calderbank?

A

Part 36 offers is from the Civil Procedure Rules and are governed by strict court rules, if Part 36 offers are accepted within 21 days, then the offeree has to pay the others sides costs up to the date of acceptance.

A Calderbank offers greater flexibility and if accepted, each party bears their own costs.
