Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
A
Characterized by two key features:
1. People with ASD show persistent deficits in social communication and social interaction across a variety of settings
- People with ASD show restrictive repetitive behaviors, interests, and activities.
ASD is called a spectrum because of the level of impairment experienced by people with ASD is extremely variable.

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder or (ADHD)
A
A neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by persistent problems in sustaining attention and difficulty engaging in quiet activities for a prolonged period.
The disorder is characterized by three main symptoms:
- Inattention: The tendency to wander off tasks, lacking persistence, and difficulty sustaining focus.
- Hyperactivity: Excessive activity when it is inappropriate, including excessive fidgeting and restlessness.
- Impulsivity: Taking actions without planning or thinking, including inability to delay gratification.
