Delaying, lying to police about someones location.

N.B. A law student giving someone advise is not obstruction but advice
When would obstruction or resisting not be complete?
When the arrest of the person was unlawful
What is resisting arrest?
-making any violent endeavor to breakaway or oppose by force. This may occur during arrest
What is the definition of encourages?
-advisers, promotes or assits another person to make it substantially more difficult for a constable to carry out their duty.
What is the definition of incites?
Rouses, stimulate or urge another person making it substantially more difficult for a constable to carry out their duty
What is the definition of disorderly?
-Causes annoyance against the values of orderly conduct. (Woman knocking on a resturant window
What power do we have to deal with disorderly offences?
Warn first
What is the definition of offensive?
Arouse feelings of resentment/repulsion

What is the definition of threatening?
Threats that fall short of assault

What is the definition of riotous?
Force or violence likely to cause alarm.

What is the definition fights?
Two or more willing participants punching, mulling, striking and wrestling
Give an example of prevention first in a public place?
Liquor Ban areas.
Any vehicle on or in a private compound is this a public place and why?
No. A vehicle that is in a private place will take on the same nature as the place that it is parked.
Unless the vehicle is a public passenger vehicle that enters a private place would be the only time that a private would convert to a public place in that vehicle. There would have to be paying passengers on board
