Anhyzer
A disks flight arc that bends to the right. Right handed back hand throw
Ace
Hole in one
Backhand Throw
a backhand throw is a standard throw where the player has the disc across their shoulder and then releases the stick back to the other side of the body
Birdie
completing the hole-in-one strike under par
Bogey
completing the hole-in-one Stroke above par
Double Bogey
completing the whole in two strokes above par
Approach Shot
usually the second shot of the whole designed to put the disk within putting distance. #midrange
Drive
Any throw off the t-pad or a throw made from the freeway designed for maximum distance
Driver
a disk designed for fast, long distance flight. the driver is most difficult to control
Fairway
The designated area on the course that the tee-shot or driver should be clear of obstacles and should give you a good approach shot
Hazard
The designated part on the course that the disk cannot be played from. these areas could be paths, roads , playing fields etc
Hyzer
A disk’s flight arc that bends to the left for the right handed backhand throw.
Helix
The type of throw where the disk goes in a s shaped pattern. often used to get around obstacles
Lie
The spot where a disk comes to a rest. this is often marked by a mini disk marker
Mid range
a mid range disk is a driver disk designed for slower, more stable flight
Mini/Marker
Used to mark a players lie.
Par
The par is a designed number of throws needed to complete a hole. Competitive golfers try for par 3
Putt
The final throw(s) that it takes someone to have their disk lay in the trapper circle
Putter/Approach disks
designed for short distance and accuracy within the circle
Roller
A rolling disk advance. A disk that rolls along the ground
Rough
The Area off of the side of the fairway that are still in bounds. BUSHY AREA
Stability
Stable- disk is flying straight- when disk is release flat it has stability
Side Arm throw
the opposite of a backhand throw. when player starts out with the disk away from his body, then brings it in
Tee Pad
location of where the first golf hole is taken from. made of concrete or rubber
Basket
once the disk rests in the basket the hole is considered complete
The circle
if you are in the circle, your disk has to rest in the basket before any part of your body past the mini marker. A 30 ft radius of the basket.
Hammer Throw
An overhead throw thrown at a vertical angle.
Throw
advancing the disk towards the basket
