The fishermen wouldn’t have been highly classes in society but Jesus doesn’t look for riches and wealth, he looks for hearts and souls.

It sums up gods plan for all of humanity. From creation of Jesus death and resurrection and the the present, where people believe they can be reconciled with God.

For some Christians, stories about casting out of evil spirits have no relevance today. The medical symptoms in this story suggest the boy had epilepsy, which has no super natural forces. Rather it requires drugs to control it.

In this story Jesus says that you have to give things up to enter heaven however Christian teachings States that Christians will get into heaven if they repent there sins.

- Jesus says “if you are not wanted then shake the dust from your feet and move on” - Jesus telling us do not get upset by your failures move on, this shows great nature of discipleship it shows Jesus is teaching them through everyday life.
- tells them to go in 2’s this tells us they can follow the teaching of Jesus, service and act of help or assistance they can show jesus that they can make them selves better Christians.
- Jesus tells them “when you enter a place stay there until you leave there” this tells us that he is saying to the disciples stay in a place until you are no longer welcome- shows Jesus telling the disciples his teaching he is almost test them to see if they can follow them.
