You could change your life and way of living
Having a lot of money could be used to be donated to charities for support
Money could provide for your family and friends in need

What happened in the story of the rich man? Mark 10:17-31

A

A man ran up to Jesus as he was leaving
He asked him how could he receive eternal life
Jesus mentions the Ten Commandments
The man said he had obeyed all the Ten Commandments
Jesus instructed him to get rid of all his possessions and money
The man went away after he heard this
Jesus explained that being rich makes it difficult to enter the Kingdom of God (the eye of the needle)
The disciples will receiver eternal life as they have obeyed the Ten Commandments and gave up everything to follow Jesus
