Peter’s failures
Peter, filled with selfish ambition argues with the other disciples about “Which one of us is the Greatest!”
A man who was brave enough to walk on water with Jesus, but lost faith.
Jesus told him “Get behind me Satan!” because he said he wouldn’t let Jesus be sacrificed.
During the last supper Jesus told Peter he’d deny him 3 times.
Peter’s success after Jesus
He’s the rock Jesus built his church on.
Peter became a powerful preacher. He boldly proclaimed the gospel, performed miracles, and played a key role in the early church.
He also wrote two epistles in the bible and the book of Mark is believed to be based on his experience with Christ.
John’s failures
While known as the “disciple whom Jesus loved,” he and his brother James once asked Jesus for positions of power in heaven, indicating ambition.
John’s success after Jesus
authored several New Testament books, including the Gospel of John, the letters of John, and the Book of Revelation. His writings continue to impact Christians today.
Jame’s Failures
Out of anger him and his brother John once asked Jesus if he wanted them to pray and call fire down from heaven to burn down a town that turned Jesus away.
Jame’s success after Jesus
James was the first apostle to be martyred (Acts 12:2). His unwavering faith and commitment to Jesus left a lasting legacy.
Philips failures
At times, he struggled with doubt and understanding Jesus’ teachings.
John 14:8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the father and that will be enough for us.”
Philip’s success after Jesus
After the early church dispersed due to persecution, Philip continued to spread the Gospel, perform miracles, and baptize. (Acts 8).
Matthews Failures
A tax collector, seen as a traitor by many Jews, before following Jesus.

Matthew wrote the Gospel of Matthew, emphasizing Jesus’ teachings and fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies.
Thomas’s failures
Known as “Doubting Thomas” for his skepticism about Jesus’ resurrection until he saw Jesus for himself.
Thomas’s success after Jesus
It is believed that Thomas later died as a martyr in India due to his faith.
Judas Iscariot’s failure
Money handler of the group. He’d steal some for himself.
Infamously known for betraying Jesus for thirty pieces of silver.
