2. Inferior = Below at a lower level
3. Proximal = Towards the attachment of a limb
4. Distal = Away the attachment of a limb
5. Medial = Is toward the midline
6. Lateral = Is away the midline
7. Posterior = (dorsal) The back of the body
8. Anterior = ( Ventral) The front of the body.
9. Cephalic = ( Cranial ) is the head
10. Caudal = toward the tail ( coccyx)
11. Superficial = Near the body surface
12. Deep= inside of body, beneath the body surface.

1. Frontal, coronal plane = separates body front and back
2. The sagittal plane, Midsagittal plane = separates the body into R & L parts
3. The parasagittal plane = divides the body into unequal parts
4. The transverse plane = divides the body into superior and inferior.
