A
Direct happens when the photons hit protein and DNA molecules
Indirect effects happen when the photons hit water molecules
In both cases the molecule is ionised causing release of free radicals
Can cause cancer premature ageing makes heart liver and kidney disease worse
Cell death
Cell mutation
Prevention or delay in cell reproduction.
