These are not simply two vowels that go together, but one long vowel where the pronunciation changes from the beginning to the end.

This type of diphthong is the one in which the last vowel is near-high.
Closing
These end in a vowel [ə] (schwa). These diphthongs are usually present when vowels are paired with the consonant r or /r/.
