Q

What is the small intestine?

A

Most absorption of nutrients takes place here. The small intestine consists of three parts: the duodenum, jejunum and ileum. It also contains Cili, which play a key role in absorbing nutrients.

Produces waste

18
Q

List the digestive process

A

Ingestion

Digestion

Absorption

Egestion

19
Q

What are enzymes

A

Enzymes increase the rate of digestion

Most enzymes split molecules by hydrolysis

Enzymes are ph sensitive, heat, surface area and volume or concentration
