A
Multiply the power by the number before x,then reduce the power by 1

A
Differentiation of a constant is always zero.

How do I find the gradient of a curve?
A
The main use for differentiation is to find the gradient of a function at any point on the graph. Having found the gradient at a specific point we can use our coordinate geometry skills to find the equation of the tangent to the curve.

How do you determine the nature of a stationary point?

By using the second deriviative.If positive,its a minimum,If negative,its a maximum.
