What is a serial port?
A connector which has 1 copper wire transfers 1 bit at a time.
What is the advantage of using a serial port?
Its faster has fewer electrical connections and has no timing skew or crosstalk.
What is a parallel port?
A parallel port has 8 copper wires and transfers 8 bits at a time. Is slower compared to serial packetized protocol.
