A go:
we use a go when a past event happened, it always goes after an expression of time. 3 years a go
And the verb always in past simple form because it refers to a finishes period of time!
I went on holiday a couple of weeks a go.

During:
We use during to say when sth happens.

Since:
We use since to refer to staring point of actions or situations. We use it mostly with present perfect but sometimes we see it with past simple.
It hasn’t rained since last week.
I’ve lived here since 1995.
I’ve been awake since 5am
Until:
We use until to say when continues up to specific time. We can use till instead of until. But till is more informal and more use in spoken.
We were on holiday until the end of september.
I’m in London till sunday.
The shops are open until 9pm on thursday
After:or later
She went to the gym after breakfast
Before: or earlier
We arrived at the airport two hours before the flight
I spole to him before the meeting
I spoke to hin earlier
While: usually a fairly short time
Someone came while you were out
In a while: i’ll call you in a while
