Differences (from Jetstar) FCOM NETWORK SOP Flashcards
RECEIPT OF FINAL LOAD SHEET by Cabin Supervisor
The Cabin Supervisor will state “……..passengers on board, may I close the door?”
If correct, the Flight Crew will respond: “Correct count, close the door”.
How long before ETD must a airways clearance be requested if no PDC is received?
If the PDC is not received within 15 minutes prior to ETD, Flight Crew members must verbally request an airways clearance.
Provisional load sheet EFF+ version confirmation
PF confirms PM name in EFF+
Then verbal check
- City pairing, flight number and date;
- Aircraft registration;
- Version - 180Y
- Crew complement; and
- Edition number (EDNO).
Provisional load sheet key data check
Straight after version confirmation, verbally confirm the following;
- TAKEOFF FUEL (Note: This is RAMP FUEL minus
TAXI FUEL); - TAKEOFF WEIGHT - MAX [either RTOW (if any),
otherwise MLW + trip fuel]; - TRIP FUEL;
- PANTRY CODE:
QF: Qantas Full Catering
QDO: Qantas Drinks Only Catering
QE: Qantas Empty (Nil) Catering
Z: Nil carts - SERVICE WEIGHT ADJUSTMENT ADD and
DEDUCTIONS:
ADD: Items added to the aircraft weight such as
service dogs, extra catering. - DEDUCTIONS: Items removed from the aircraft
weight such as a catering unit. - Any MEL/CDL affecting the aircraft’s loading is
reflected on the Provisional.
NOTOC check (follows on from load sheet key data check)
- Departure port;
- Flight number and date;
- Aircraft registration;
- Any Dangerous Goods, or if none, a statement
identifying nil Dangerous Goods, e.g. ‘NO
DANGEROUS GOODS UPLIFTED EX_ _ _’; - Any Other Special Load, or if none, a statement
identifying nil Spacial Load, e.g. ‘NO SPECIAL
LOAD UPLIFTED EX _ _ _’.
LOAD SHEET ACCEPTANCE
- Flight number, date, and aircraft registration;
- Significant changes from the Provisional,
(e.g. 500 kg due pax failed to board); and - TAKEOFF FUEL (TOF) - Load Sheet vs Calculated
is within +/- 400 kg.
Note:
Calculate TOF = Total fuel on board to engine start - 120 kg Taxi Fuel.
The TO CG and THS on the Final Load Sheet assume that TOF is on board at commencement of the takeoff roll.
To ensure TOW CG and THS are valid, Calculated TOF must fall within +/- 400 kg of the TOF on the Final.
Airways clearance PDC delay
If the PDC is not received within 15 minutes prior to ETD, Flight Crew members must verbally request an airways clearance.
FMGC database change over
Flight Crew shall activate the new database:
After 1600 hours UTC the day prior to the new Effective Date Range for flights departing from an Australian port.
WST = UTC + 8 1600 = 0000
Supernumerary briefing
Seat belts;
Emergency exits;
Life jackets (individual flotation devices), if required;
Oxygen masks;
Emergency equipment for collective use; and
Sterile flight deck procedures.
Wing light usage
WING LIGHTS
Wing inspection lights are to be used in unison with the landing lights at all times.
Transition call
PM - “Transition”
PF - “Set Standard/Set QNH….(numerals)”
PM - “Standard/QNH… (numerals) crosschecked,
passing FL (ft) now”
PF - “Checked”
FCU Alt calls with a constraint
When the selected level is constrained the Flight Crew member calls both the constraint “ _ _ Alt/FL magenta” and the cleared FCU ALT window setting “ _ _ Alt/FL set”.
eg: “5150 magenta, 5000 set”. The other Flight Crew member confirms the setting by crosschecking the selection and calls “5150 magenta checked, 5000 checked”.
No Smoking and seat belt sign policy
The ‘NO SMOKING’ signs shall remain illuminated during flight.
The ‘SEAT BELT’ sign shall be illuminated:
- For taxiing, takeoff and initial climb;
- When turbulence is anticipated or experienced;
- During abnormal manoeuvres or procedures;
- Prior to commencing approach until parked at the
completion of the flight;
- At other times at the discretion of the PIC.
RVSM Equipment
- Two primary altitude measurement systems; - One automatic altitude control system; - One altitude alerting device; and - One operating transponder.
Center tank pump low pressure
If <200 kg in the centre tank, on ground or in flight, these LO PR warnings may be considered spurious. At these times the centre tank pumps should be selected OFF, and the mode selected to MAN. Consider turning pumps back ON / AUTO once established in stable flight in cruise. If unsuccessful, turn the pumps OFF / MAN again and treat remaining fuel in the centre tank as unuseable.
