Diagnoses Flashcards
TART for the Sacrum
1) Tissue Texture changes –> quadratus lumborum, erector spinae, piriformis, hamstrings… flip over and do rectus abdominis, quadriceps, adductors
2) Asymmetry
3) Range of Motion
4 Tenderness
TAT for Lumbar and Thoracics
1) Tissue Texture Abnormalities
2) Asymmetry –> standing up and looking at their shoulders.
3) Tenderness to palpation
TART Screen for the Ribs
Tissue Texture abnormalities on the Ribs
Asymmetry with inhalation and exhalation, and through translation from side to side.
TART Screen for the Ribs
Tissue Texture abnormalities on the Ribs
Asymmetry with inhalation and exhalation, and through translation from side to side.
Range of motion –> same thing
Tenderness to palpation
Inhalation vs exhalation dysfunction
as they’re breathing out, and one side does not go down as far –> inhalation dysfunction, exhalation restriction
if you’re breathing in and one side does not come up as far, exhalation dysfunction, inhalation restriction
Diagnosis of the Innominate?
1) standing flexion test / ASIS compression
2) reset the hips
2) PSIS heights, ASIS heights, inflare and out flare, medial malleoli heights
Diagnosis of the sacrum?
1) seated flexion test
2) Lumbosacral spring –> if positive it’s extended, negative is flexed
3) sphinx test –> sacral sulci even out = flexed.. get worse = extended.
4) 4pt dx
