- Exposure to certain pathogens can cause the disease

Type 2 Diabetes is a lifestyle disease - a disease which is associated with how a person lives their life These things include: - Obesity - Lack of regular exercise - High sugar/fat/salt diet - Smoking - High blood pressure

Type 2 diabetes is a chronic, lifestyle disease in which the body forms a resistance to the usual effects of insulin or gradually loses the capacity to produce enough insulin in the pancreas
What is the treatment for Type 1 Diabetes?
Type 1 Diabetes is managed with insulin injections several times a day or the use of an insulin pump which releases insulin at regular intervals.
