Develops and promotes the DI vision, goals and objectives in alignment with the hospital’s mission, vision, strategic direction and accountability framework.
Ensures excellence in patient care and service delivery through a sound quality management system with continuous quality improvement processes that include planning, quality monitoring, utilization management and risk avoidance.

Minimum 10 years experience in DI of which 5 years are in a senior management role
Director is accountable for the clinical, technical, educational, human resource, financial, other activities associated with the functioning of all modalities of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging (including OP Cardio-Respiratory Diagnostics) and the overall quality of care and services provided for hospital and community clients.
The Director will create an environment for innovation and excellence in diagnostic imaging services.
Demonstrated experience in, or understanding of, a unionized healthcare environment.
Demonstrated ability to identify areas that require change\redesign to achieve desired outcomes.
Demonstrated leadership, negotiation and facilitation skills.
Demonstrated ability in preparation, monitoring, analysis and evaluation of operational and capital budgets.
Demonstrated excellent communication and staff engagement.
Demonstrated experience in project management, proposal development, quality and process redesign.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
