Full UE ROM, still lacking full motion at hip and knee, plantar arch starts, BOS narrowing (if walking), Abs help with balance, scribbling and eat crayons , imitate sounds

Independent walking with medium guard, assumes standing, creeps up stairs, starts stacking 2 items, follows one step commands, waddling , points and vocalizes needs, books
18 Months
Curious, climbing, turn knobs, full LE ROM, heel strike and arm swing, stops and starts easily, mature weight shifts, runs stiffly, stairs with one hand held, throws ball, larger vocabulary and understanding, push pull toys
21 Months
Squats in play, kicks ball, stairs with railing or one hand held, follows commands, names body parts, use cups but may spill, 5-6 cube tower, combines words, starts maturing on communication and social skills
24 Months/2 Years
Culture plays a part: very busy, vestibular experiences, running is stiff and flat footed, climbs and jumps, mature weight shifts in gait, independent stairs, dressing with assist, large vocabulary (3 word sentences), start to lose pot belly, counter rotation, understand themselves separate from other people, maturity in social interaction (if no social interaction, skills will regress – orphanages), loves other babies
30 Months/2.5 Years
Walks on tip toes, jumps with both feet, tries to stand on one foot, holds crayons with fingers, brain is organizing, crave motor and sensory opportunities
36 Months/3 Years
Combines movements, half of adult height, runs and changes directions, smaller BOS, mature stair pattern, jumps off of 2 foot stool, rides tricycle, kicks ball, stands on one foot briefly, reciprocal arm swing, tries to catch, knows rhymes and songs, follows short commands, jumps off of 24-34” stool
42 Months/3.5 Years
Wants to do everything independently, frustrates easily, increased muscle mass, multiple jumps in a row, hopping on one foot, kicking and catching inconsistent
48 Months/4 Years
Potty trained, hops, skips inconsistently, walks on tip toes, rides bike with training wheels, overhand throw, drawing and copying, 4 step commands, why?, names and sorts objects
54 Months/4.5 Years
Walks heel to toe, jumps 2-3 inches off floor, catches ball with elbows at side, throws 8-10 feet, hand dominance begins
60 Months/5 Years
Runs, dances, climbs, jumps in all directions, jumps over 6-8 inch objects, rides bike without training wheels, skates, skips correctly, manipulates objects, counting, colors, imagination
6-12 Years
Girls ahead by 1 year in development, seek vestibular input, increasing complexity of skills, mature gait pattern by age 7, growth spurt (girls 10-12 inches, boys 13-16 inches)
