Generally characterised by the omission of auxiliary verbs and determiners with a focus on lexical essentials
(e.g. ‘Daddy get milk’ and ‘Ben feed ducks’)

Post-Telegraphic Stage
Words expand to include auxiliaries, prepositions and articles
(e.g. from ‘Mummy car’ to ‘Mummy is in the car’)
Over-generalisation
