What are the effects of medication for ADHD?
Stimulant medications are designed to increase levels of dopamine in an individual’s brain. Dopamine is a chemical in the brain associated with pleasure, movement and attention. Students prescribed stimulant medication would be more attentive in school.
What type of things would be difficult for someone with short term memory deficits?
Retaining new information, multi-step oral directions, gaps in basic skills, remember what was just read, reading comprehension, problem solving, and higher order thinking skills
What type of medication would someone with a seizure disorder use?
Anticonvulsant medication – that can cause drowsiness and dizziness

Pressure sores, because braces used to maintain position of joints, apply pressure to assist in stability.
