HDI - (human development index). Consists of one figure, between 0 and 1. Calculated using an average of 4 indicators:
literacy
education
length of schooling
gdp
corruption perception index
scale from 1 to 10 (10 being extremely corrupt) which shows investors where their money is safest and which countries are the most and least corrupt.
birth rate
number of babies born per 1000 people a year
death rate
total number of deaths per 1000 people each year
dependency ratio
proportion of people above and below the working age (0 - 14) and over 65
infant mortality rate
number of babies that die under the age of one each year in a country
