Stratification
Where society is divided into different levels based on social status
Stratification has impact:
- high level of economic help - money for; travel, coaching, equipment
- private schools - specialist coaches, more PE lessons, better facilities to try sports, diet
- private schools- can produce a higher level of competition to get scouted

Two main channels:
Providing funding to NGB’s - to operate world class programme covering all Olympic and Paralympic sports : split into two tiers

They are a lead agency involved in running Talent ID Programmes &
They work with the EIS who provide host venues
They develop lifestyles that meet the needs of young performers
