HDI (Human development index) is a composite index of life expectancy, education and GDP per capita.
What is a development indicator?
A development indicator is a way of measuring a countries development.
What does GDP per capita mean?
GDP (Gross domestic product) per capita is the total value of goods produced within a country divided by the total population.
What is a developed country?
A country with a developed economy and technological advancements.
What is a developing country?
A country with a low economy and low HDI.
What are natural resources?
A material source of wealth.
What does landlocked mean?
A country enclosed by land, no coastline.
What is top-down development?
A large-scale strategy by the government or large TNCs, to help the people of the country.
What is bottom-down development?
A small-scale strategy by NGOs or local communities, to help the people.
What is sustainability?
When a country is good socially, economically and environmentally.
