why is having clean water so important in developing nations?
- water-related sicknesses such as trachoma or cholera
- sick people can’t work, so no care, or money, for family
- hospitals are crowded

What is our relationship with Papua New Guinea?
- In World War II the Australian army helped defend PNG from the Japanese imperial army on the kokoda track, located in the Owen Stanley ranges
- today we provide water, schooling, health care, park rangers, hygiene, supplies.

Why do people want to trek the kokoda track?
-People want to trek the tack so they can experience what the Australians had done and to follow in their footsteps
What was the terrain like on the Kokoda trek?
