What does detente mean
the relaxing of tension between rivals - it’s a term used to describe the relationship between the USA and the Soviet Union in the later 1960s and 1970s

Did Detente have limits?

All European countries except Albania and ANdorra, as well as the USA, the Soviet Union and Canada.
