What is granita?
Granita is a semi-frozen dessert made from sugar, water and various flavorings. Originally from Sicily, it is available throughout Italy in varying forms. It is related to sorbet and Italian ice; however, in most of Sicily, it has a coarser, more crystalline texture.
What is brioche?
Brioche is a bread of French origin that is similar to a highly enriched pastry, and whose high egg and butter content gives it a rich and tender crumb.
What is an anglaise?
a light pouring custard used as a dessert cream or sauce. It is a mix of sugar, egg yolks, and hot milk often flavoured with vanilla.
