A

1 Failing to prepare a safe escape route before falling or bucking begins
2Failing to move to a predetermined position at least 3m away from tree where possible and take cover when tree starts to fall
3 Failing to use proper falling procedures.
4 Failing to fall dangerous trees before performing work in the area made hazardous by danger tree.
5 Using a tree to cause another partially cut tree to fall in succession except to overcome a falling difficulty and done in accordance with the regulation.
6 Leaving partially cut trees unless done in accordance with the regulation.
7 Brushing of standing trees where brushing can be avoided.
8 Working within 2 tree lengths of a tree being felled.

A

-sifficient undercut
-undercut must be complete and cleaned out
-sufficient holding wood
-backcut must be higher than undercut to provide step on the stump
-wedging tools must be immediately available and unless the tree has pronounced favorable lean, wedges must be set
