What is erythema toxicum neonatorum, transient neonatal pustular melanosis, and milia
A
- Erythema toxicum neonatorum: Macules/papules progressing to pustules within 24-48 hours, resolve in 5-7 days
- Transient neonatal pustular melanosis: Present at birth, resolves weeks to months
- Milia: WHITE papules with retained keratin on cheeks and nose, present at birth and resolve within weeks

- Neonatal acne
- Miliaria
- Seborrheic keratosis

- Neonatal acne: Appears at 3 weeks of age, disappears at four months
- Miliaria: Vesicles, papules, pustules caused by accumulation of sweat undernieth sweat ducts blocked by keratin - common in warm countries, in first week of life
- Seborrheic dermatitis: Erythema and greasy scales resolves weeks to months

What is the treatment for
- Neonatal acne
- Miliaria
- Seborrheic keratosis

- Neonatal acne: Soap and water, ketoconazole and hydrocortisone may help
- Miliaria: Cool environment, loose clothing, cool baths
- Seborrheic dermatitis: Emollient with baby shampoo, if it doesn’t work then try ketonazole or selenium shampoo
