How do you find the derivative of a product?
First times the derivative of the second plus second times the derivative of the first.
How do you find the derivative of a quotient?
Bottom times the derivative of the top minus top times the derivative of the bottom. All over the bottom squared.
How do you find the derivative of a composite function (outside function and inside function)?
Derivative of the outside, keep the inside the same, times the derivative of the inside.
How do you find the derivative of an e function?
The function itself times the derivative of the exponent.
How do you find the derivative of a natural log function?
One over the argument times the derivative of the argument.
How do you find the derivative of any exponential function?
The function itself times the natural log of the base times the derivative of the exponent.
How do you find the derivative of any log function?
One over (the argument times the natural log of the base) times the derivative of the argument.
What is the derivative of sine?
Cosine
What is the derivative of cosine?
Negative sine
What is the derivative of tangent?
secant squared
What is the derivative of cosecant?
Negative cosecant times cotangent
What is the derivative of secant?
Secant times tangent
What is the derivative of cotangent?
Negative cosecant squared
