What does the deployed logistics organization entail?

Multi-National Maritime Force Commander (MNMFC)- Manages logistics support to sustain Ops.
Forward Logistics Site (FLS)- Usually final land shipment point, which provides the bridge between SLC and sea.
Shore Logistic Coordinator (SLC)- Provides logistics support and advice to MNMFC, ensuring pers, mail and cargo are received and transferred.
Group Logistics Coordinator (GLC)/Force Logistics Coordinator (FLC)- Assigned to the Command/Senior Ship in a task group. Tracks and controls personnel and materiel movements, consolidates LOGREQs. Responsible to the Task Group Commander
Underway Replenishment Coordinator (URC)
Local Air Logistics Coordinator (LALC)
Materiel Control Officer (MATCONOFF)
Repair Coordinator (RC)

Why have Deployed Logistics Support Services Standing Offers (DLSSSOs) been established?

How can you use a DLSSSO? What is the call-up maximum amount?

A price request form is submitted for a quote. Then, a PSPC 942 Call-up Against a Standing Offer must be used for the quoted amount. $400,000.

What should the LogO do in advance of deploying?

Answer 4

Meet with F4 and other LogOs that have done similar deployments.
Personnel- Staff check for manning, DAG, and leave.

Public Funds- Determine appropriate WCF level, currencies, ACC, DoAs, Hospitality requirements.

NPF- Apply for line of credit, duty free, exchange warehouse if full, laundry is cleaned and topped up, silverware, verify NPF.

Supply- Determine if there are any special stores/equipment, check allowances for clothing; arrangements for pack-ups (helo, CBRN), review services/supplies available in scheduled ports, PP&S, transportation for port visits.

Food- Verify equipment, cyclical menu, Official entertainment, paper plates and plastics KFS in case of dishwasher breakdown.
