line up on centerline positioning controls for wind
hold brakes
Increase throttle to 2000 RPM
check engine gauges
release brakes
increase throttle to full power
call out “airspeed alive”
start slow rotation at 55 KIAS
accelerate to 79 KIAS
after takeoff Checklist out of 1000 feet AGL

Question 2

Short field takeoff

Answer 2

Flaps 10°
Use all available runway
Hold brakes hold breaks 
Full throttle
Check engine gauges
At full power – release breaks
Rotate to climb at 56 KIAS over 50’ obstacle
When clear of obstacle, accelerate Vy
Flaps 0°
“After take off checklist” out of 1000’ AGL

Question 3

Soft field takeoff

Answer 3

Flaps 10°
Roll onto runway with full aft yolk – minimum breaking – do not stop
Smoothly apply for power – check engine gauges
As nose lifts off, ease back pressure; nose wheel must remain off ground
Lift off at lowest possible airspeed – remain in ground effect
In ground effect – accelerate to 60 KIAS Vx - begin climb
Accelerate to 79 KIAS Vy
At safe altitude retract flaps
“After take off checklist“ out of 1000’ AGL
